TWIN benefits for your business

With two cabins operating in the same shaft, TWIN revolutionizes efficiency standards in buildings. It contributes to a more enjoyable passenger experience by reducing waiting times, especially in facilities with shared spaces on multiple levels, such as hotels, office buildings, and hospitals.

Handle more traffic

Whether used in new buildings or as part of a modernization project, TWIN can transport up to 40% more passengers compared to a conventional elevator system. It allows building owners to create an optimized and future-proof mobility concept for their project.

Save costs

TWIN drastically cuts labor and materials expenses by sharing a single shaft, guide rails, and landing doors. It reduces the footprint required for elevators, potentially increasing leasable space in the building and/or reducing construction costs. In combination with lower running costs, this contributes to sustained return on investment for years to come.

Reduce energy consumption

During low passenger volumes, TWIN can park one cabin while the second cabin stays in operation, ensuring that no energy is consumed by moving empty cabins. TWIN elevator systems are also equipped with an energy recovery function which feeds the energy generated by braking back into the building’s power grid.

Safe two-cabin operation

TWIN applies a four-layer safety concept to maintain a safe distance between the two cabins sharing a shaft. Measures include intelligent allocation through the AGILE destination selection control, automatic monitoring of cabin separation distances, an emergency stop function and, as a final safeguard, automatic safety gear activation. The system is fully certified by the German TÜV inspectorate.
